Best BBQ around town! My friend and I have been coming here every Thursday for the last 6 years or so for Potato Thursday. They are amazing....the loaded baked potato!!!! A wonderful family owns the place and they have great people working for them! Highly recommend this place to anyone!

I went here for lunch and the food was soso, so I wanted to give it a second chance. So I roll up about 1545, and I was given nothing but bad attitude by the guy behind the counter. They were out of everything. I realize they close at 1600, now. The food isnt worth the bad attitude and crazy hours. Crappy location, crappy eating area, crappy food, crappy attitude. Hard pass.

The barbecue ribs were delicious, however the customer service is severely lacking. My husband and I felt very disrespected: One of the owners, the woman, was very rude to my husband and I because we asked for an additional cup. We wanted an additional cup because the sweet tea is sometimes too sweet and we add water to dilute it. But, instead of seeking to understand why we "her customers" wanted an extra cup she quickly said "that's stealing, my husband and I would never do that" and then proceeded to say she would give us the cup anyway. She has a terrible attitude and doesn't know how to act like a professional. For this reason, I will never step foot in this establishment again.

Well, well, well. I know this restaurant has probably been here since the beginning of time and I am new to the area. I stopped for lunch, (I had an hour) purchased BBQ Ribs w/double potato salad. The meal was terrible in that the BBQ ribs had no smoke flavor, tasted as if they were cooked in the oven and thank God the cashier asked if I wanted BBQ sauce on the side. I tasted the BBQ sauce and it did not taste like any kind of BBQ sauce I have ever tasted and it also had an oily taste. Now, getting back to the BBQ ribs, they were truly dry and tuff. I ate the meat around the tuffness and the potato salad was salty not sweet and savory. I understand the customers like this BBQ, but it's a NO for me. I prefer Salt Lick in Round Rock, TX, Franklin's in Austin, TX or City Market in Luling, TX. For me, I do not recommend this BBQ restaurant, didn't like the BBQ nor the cashier's remarks regarding watermelon. The cashier stated with racial undertones, "And we have watermelon, it's fresh"! I am African American and I felt racially insulted. DO I LOOK LIKE I LOVE WATERMELON!!! I do not eat watermelon, I told her, watermelon gives me diarrhea (very true) !!! I would never recommend this establishment due to the cashier's racial undertone regarding offering me watermelon. SHE HAD SOME NERVE!!!

This place is a charm
I absolutely loved this place. I asked the very friendly lady behind the cash register for a very lean cut of meat. Her and another very friendly gentleman suggested the brisket. They hit the nail on the head! The brisket was so lean and yet tender. I got it on a roll with a side of coleslaw to go. I have enough food for lunch and dinner.
Will definitely return to this place and it's so close to my office.
